In silvered and gilt bronze with red enamels, obverse illustrating an insignia bearing an inscription in Chinese flanked by pillars, flanked by the flags of the Soviet Union at the left and the People's Republic of China at the right, with a shield below bearing clasped hands and framed within an open ended wreath of laurel leaves, the insignia backed by a five pointed silver star, each star point
