Russia, Imperial. An Order of Saint Andrew the First-Called, Breast Star United Republic of Circa 1860-80( , ). Instituted 28 November 1698 by Tsar Peter I. Constructed of silver with gilt and multi coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of an eight pointed radiant star with ribbed rays, bearing a central red enameled medallion overlaid by a blue enameled Cross of Saint Andrew, with gilt Latin script initials S. A. P. R. joining the quadrants for Sanctus Andreas Patronus Russiae (Saint Andrew, Patron of Russia), situated within a blue enameled ring
